At the end of July, Hein-Willem received a letter from the ambassador of Ireland whom he recently gave a guided tour to. Hein-Willem had put together a varied program for this Kevin Kelly. A visit to the highest mound of Friesland, the Wadden Sea and Urk. The ambassador writes in his letter that he is impressed by all elements of the visit and the stories about the history of Leeuwarden and Friesland that Hein-Willem told. The company also visited farms that used Irish technology. The ambassador hopes that the visit brought both countries closer together. Read the entire letter from the ambassador here:

The Agricultural Inspection in Joure on September 23 was a great success. The new 6-row machine of Heeringa Cultuurtechniek attracted plenty of attention. This 6-row machine is used to sow maize under film.

The maize harvest started early this year on our acreage maize under film and right now the harvest is in full swing. This creates opportunities for new grass seeding or a catch crop.

Our trial fields of our partner Samco in Ireland show that the combination of corn-sorghum provides a strong improvement in digestibility. Lignin is limited to 3%.

This is an idea that we take with us for the cultivation in 2017.
